What’s new at Hawk Hill. Twenty four healthy lambs were born between May 6th and May 23rd. They are getting close to weaning age. Laurie is serving as Secretary for District 10 of the Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency and on the Advisory Council of Savour Ottawa. Hawk Hill will soon be certified under the Sheep Health Program. The deadline for hay orders is July 8th. We are happy to announce that the Glengarry Horse Health Club now has their own web site. Welcome to the new Hawk Hill Farm Web Site Hawk Hill Farm is a dream come true for us.  It is 100 acres in the heart of North Glengarry Township in eastern Ontario.  Being situated on one of the  only hills in this area, we have a panoramic view of the Gatineau Hills in Quebec to the north and on a clear day the Adirondacks of New York to the south east. The Scotch River runs through the back of the property. Our focus at Hawk Hill has always been quality over quantity.  We also are dedicated to preserving heritage breeds of livestock and heritage varieties of vegetables and other crops. In the zeal to produce livestock breeds that are bigger, grow faster, mature earlier we seem to have forgotten some key features: longevity, vitality, mothering ability, disease resistance, ability to thrive on a forage diet and last but not least flavour.
