After a rather disappointing production year of testing another breed of meat chickens, we will be returning to raising Cornish Rock pullets.  By raising only pullets and reducing the protein levels in the feed, we are able to eliminate the undesireable problems with this breed, that is heart and joint problems.   We have consistently been able to raise a 7-9 lb roaster in 11 weeks with the Cornish Rock breed. We will be raising 70 birds starting in July and processing in September 2012.  Our chickens sold out quickly in 2011 so order early.  Place your name on a reservation list now as space is very limited.
